Parents' Comments
Parent #1
They are always quick to point out every bump and bruise my little one gets during the day, and explain how she got it.

This school offers carline drop off for all ages and carline pickup for carpools (one or more families). CCDC also coordinates entry into the Coppell Christmas Parade. CCDC also provides services like notary, faxing, buy a lunch (in case you forgot), and shopping around Christmas time to help busy parents! This is great!!!

In addition, I believe that CCDC is one of the best schools (if not the best) in the area. They have a wide variety of activities for the children. I was totally surprised that at 2 years old they were beginning to teach them how to use a computer. They expose children to so many different experiences such as science, separate classes for physical education, chapel with stories, singing and dancing, science classes, etc. They also try to make things easier for the parents. In addition to the regular school day which is from 8:45 - 2:00, if on occasion you need child care later in the day, they can stay in the star care program. The Star Care program is an additional after school program lasting until 3:30 (I think) for only an additional $10 a day. Also, if ever needed for an emergency, they will allow your child to attend on days in addition to his regular classes days for a charge - $40 a day. CCDC is a little more expensive than other church based Mother's Day Out or Pre-School programs, but I do think it is worth it.

We have been extremely happy with CCDC in every area.

Wise Words to Remind You to Watch the Amazing Show of Childhood
One of the most dog-eared and spine-cracked books on our Savvy Parenting Shelf is Wendy Mogel's The Blessing of a Skinned Knee . This month's look at the big picture of parenting and childhood prompted yet another return to the wisdom in Dr. Mogel's pages:
Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?
