Director's Description to School's Approach to Discipline
Children are given timeouts. Time is according to age (2yrs old 1-2 min, etc.) They are talked to and explained why and a suggested mediation form is given of how to or not to handle what happened. Children are sent to director's office to have a talk about what happened. No spanking or hitting is permitted.
Director's Response to a Sample Discipline Scenario
Description of how teachers handle the following scenario: Child A and Child B are good friends and usually play together. One day, Child A decides to play with Child C and tells Child B, 'I don't want to play with you today. I'm playing with Child C instead.'
The teacher does explain that we are all friends but sometimes we want to play with someone else and they may play together at later on. Child C can be shown some other things to do and sometimes forget and get involved in something else.
