Parents at this school, on average, believe that conflicts between children:
...are handled extraordinarily well in a way that not only gives me confidence in the safety of my child but also reassures me that my child (and his/her peers) are learning the early skills needed to socialize effectively with one another

Director's Description to School's Approach to Discipline

School and classroom rules are defined at the beginning of the year . They are consistent in all classes. Teachers model appropriate behavior and help children find the appropriate words to resolve conflict. Students will experience natural consequences for their actions. Victims are focused on. Students are asked how they can make the situation better. Consistent behavior problems are discussed with parents, daily parent grams go home describing their behavior. Education for parents and plans for consistent home discipline are also shared. Ultimately, a student who does an act of violence against themself, another student or a staff member, three times during the period we are working with their parents, will be asked to leave the school.
