Director's Description to School's Approach to Discipline
We use age-appropriate time out and counsel. Parents are always advised of any discipline used and/or director communicates to parents as needed. Our idea is for a complete circle of communication for the child's learning benefit.
Director's Response to a Sample Discipline Scenario
Description of how teachers handle the following scenario: Child A and Child B are good friends and usually play together. One day, Child A decides to play with Child C and tells Child B, 'I don't want to play with you today. I'm playing with Child C instead.'
Would always encourage all to play together and always be nice to our friends. If specific reason for not wanting to play with another is communicated to teacher, then individually the children are encouraged and counseled.
