Learning Goals for Your Child
Goals for Your Child = long term goals you have for your child's learning and achievement that your child is at risk of not meeting.
This includes long-term goals you have for your child's learning and achievement in school. Common goals are:
- Grade progression: Because of risk factors associated with either your family or child, your child is at risk of not achieving grade level later in elementary years and beyond.
- Academic performance: You expect your child will be quite capable of performing at "grade level" later, but may be at risk for not achieving full potential beyond grade level.
- College opportunity: You want your child to attend college but your child is at risk of not achieving this goal
If one of these is a special concern for you, our table below can help you ask questions as you begin your preschool search.
