Fireworks Art
ages 2-6
Supplies
Butcher paper or other large sized white paper; tempera or washable craft paint; different sized plastic lids; wooden mallet
Activity Detail
Your budding artist will have a blast smacking out these fireworks creations! Be sure to do this activity outside. Place a dollop of paint on a large piece of white paper (butcher paper works well). Use a plastic lid from a margarine tub or other container and place it upside down over the paint. With a wooden mallet, smack the container top and the paint will spray out from under the top and make a firework shape. Experiment with different sized tops and use multiple colors. Find a place for your firework display and enjoy!
